So happy to have gotten the notice in late November that my piece, Ancestral Corn, was selected by the Albuquerque Arts Board to be purchased by the City Public Arts Division! There were a lot of entries so I feel very blessed to have been selected, especially during this time when it is nearly impossible for artists to show their work in person. Thanks to my friend Ilene who urged me to submit to the Infuse-2D Call.
Linocut Class coming up!
Happy to be hosting this popular class again! If you have already taken the first level, please return for a more challenging experience using more colors. You will learn to carve and print in multiple colors with a variety of tools. All materials provided. Great idea for holiday gifts!
Pochoir Class Coming Up!
Create your own stencils, ink them up, arrange on your paper and print! The overlapping colors and shapes make interesting patterns. A very colorful and expressive printmaking technique used by Matisse and many other artists! Join us for this one-day workshop. Space is limited to 3 people, and we will be in the patio.
Linocut Class coming up soon!
Please join me for this 2-day workshop outside in my patio Sept 12 and 13. Experience the different kinds of lines created by each carving tool and learn to roll out the ink evenly onto the surface of the linoleum. We will use a variety of colors of ink that clean up with water. Masks are required.

Hand printed linocuts for masks
I’m enjoying printing on muslin cloth my hand carved designs from original linocuts! Laila Cola Weeks does the sewing and we donate 10% of sales to the Road Runner Food Bank. They can be purchased for $20 on my store page.
Printing Cloth for Masks
I’m printing 40 cloths today so that they can be used for the reversible masks sent by Laila Cola Weeks. I first do the background in orange or blue and then the designs in black. We’ve gotten many orders and its still going strong! 10% of sales go to Road Runner Food Bank.
New Banners on Mountain Road!
They’re up! You can learn all about our local history through this Public Art Project: Banners on Mountain Road 2020. Each banner was an original woodblock print created by neighbors and local artists in the area! The project, “History of the Neighborhood Through the Eyes of Contemporary Artists” is now in its second year. Take a drive or a stroll down Mountain between 5th and 12th streets and learn about each banner image at www.friendsofmountainroad.com
Making Prints From Sticky Foam Sheets
Making prints from sticky foam sheets is a very simple and rewarding process. All you need to do is make your drawing on the backing of the foam sheet, cut it out, peel off the backing, reapply the shapes to another sticky foam sheet, and roll with ink. Then turn over the sticky foam onto your paper underneath, rub carefully to all edges and when you remove it-there’s your print!
Printing the Blue Hollyhock bags
Happy to announce my new series of flower linocut prints on cotton bags! These tote bags with bottom gusset and strong handles hold a lot of groceries and necessities in a beautiful bag that is reusable and environmentally friendly. You can wash this bag and the colors will remain permanent. Support your local artists-purchase this bag and others from the collection!
Banners on Mountain Road 2020
Mountain Road Banners 2020 needs your support! We are hoping to get the banners installed on lampposts by May 2nd! Each new banner image is from an original woodcut by one of 13 artists and each represents an aspect of our neighborhood history! We will accept donations large and small at this GoFundMe link:
