Product Details
Federico García Lorca, pictured in front of his home near Granada, Spain, was a poet and playwright. His writing was influenced by surrealism and he lived during one of Spain’s darkest times. The poet was arrested and then executed in 1936 by a Nationalist firing squad. His work incorporates Spanish folklore, Andalucian flamenco and Gypsy culture. He played the piano, directed a student theater group in rural Spain and was a prolific artist. Printed with deep blue ink, I wanted to honor him in this linocut print on Stonehenge paper, signed by the artist. Dimensions: 12" x 12" Paper: 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" with foam core backing in a plastic sleeve. Ready to frame!
